The girl behind Lovici
I have met a lot of incredible people over the years from working in coffee. People from all over the globe with different outlooks, careers, and dreams. So many beautiful people that have soon turned into friends who i've learned to grow + flourish from. Many of my friends inspire me, and Catherine is one of them.
When I asked her if she wanted to get up and shoot photos at 6 am, it wasn't even a question. Halfway through, she apologized for not being able to hold a serious face for long without breaking it with a smile. I told her to never, ever apologize for that because there is something so beautiful about a person who can't help but have smile on. Catherine has the most kind, and joyful way about her. She is one of those people who you wonder if they literally could hurt a fly. She laughs almost as much as she speaks, and is so gentle and soft as if in consant admiration for whatever is in front of her.
Catherine currently works at Revolution Roasters, but also at a high-end handmade bag company. She started as an intern at Rais Case, lending her multi-talented hand in all kinds of areas. And of course, they eventually HAD to hire her. One of Catherine's many outlets is photography. You will see a lot of her stuff featured on the Rais Case instagram, not to mention her crazy good watercolors. Yes, she watercolors too! And let me tell you, watercoloring (good watercoloring) is HARD!
What I love about Catherine is that she's a creative who encourages other creatives. She's so humble and sweet, and always up for the next adventure. We've gotten to go on a couple coffee/photo/video adventures that usually ends with us scheming and dreaming of the next one.
A little background on Catherine... She grew up in a tiny town in Rhode Island. She has a degree in landscape architecture. She's lived in Boston & Washington D.C. She road tripped with her hometown friends across the states and landed here in San Diego just about a year ago.
She once worked at an architecture firm and decided a 9-5 desk job wasn't for her so she started chasing the things that filled her heart and makes her feel alive. If you need photos, new wall art for your home, help designing landscape, or just a good conversation- she's your girl.
And I mean, isn't she stunning?!
